Honeymoon is a sheltered south-facing bay frequently visited by boats in the area due to its shelter from the wind and shallow waters with easy access for all levels. Starting very close to The Shoe, this site allows depths inside the bay from about 10ft and up to about 50ft around the headland. A great place to come and look for all the small creatures that we have from shrimps to crabs with only a short ride from Flamingo. A great place to see our beautiful sea stars.
Time of year and weather conditions can find the water temperatures to range between 65-80 degrees F (18-27C).
Marine life that is commonly seen includes moray eels, octopus, wrasse, puffer species, angel and butterfly fish, maybe some round rays, seahorses, clown shrimp, arrow crabs and nudibranchs.
